"Creating Client Value Through Superior Execution
of Supply Chain Strategy"

EMG Consulting understands that while technology, customer-supplier relationships, and ownership structures of companies continue to change dramatically, the principles for superior visioning, strategy, and execution remain the same. They require the understanding and foresight to help our clients bring more value to their customers than their competition.

The partners of EMG Consulting have been helping clients develop and execute strategy for over 15 years. We have worked from the board room level of Global Fortune 100 companies down to the small business level, with aggressive, entrepreneurial startups. We combine the wisdom of executive level experiences with the application of the latest technologies and operational techniques, such as wireless networks, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Advanced Planning & Scheduling, etc.

EMG Consulting is somewhat unique in its own structure. It is the consulting arm of Equity Management Group, which owns and operates a handful of small to medium size businesses. The business acumen that EMG Consulting brings to our clients is the same talent that is used to grow and increase the value of the companies of Equity Management Group.

The following are some examples of services that EMG Consulting has provided to our clients:

  • Development of a Supply Chain Optimization strategy for a national consumer products company. The objective was lower the costs of production and investments in inventory by better synchronizing and managing the flow of information between the national retail customers of the client through the clients production planning process to the contract manufacturer of the product.
  • Development of an eCommerce vision and strategy for a company that processes $80 billion of transactions annually. A unique aspect of this engagement was working within limitations imposed by the Federal Government on this organization that had become deregulated and privatized.
  • Forming and leading a Six Sigma project for a market-leading, global industrial products company. The project resulted in significantly reducing costs and cycle times in the post production testing processes. As expected, the costs were being driven by incomplete product designs, poor definitions of customer expectations, lack of test standards, and a culture that expected problems to flow "down hill" until found and fixed in testing.
  • Analyzed the production and material flows for the largest single bakery of a global food brand. Through the application of our Sales & Operations planning techniques, and with better supplier partnering strategies, the project found that inventories could be reduced by over 55%. This eliminated the need for a multi-million dollar warehouse expansion.
